On January 25, 2019, Park Sanghwa, Director of KECDC, delivered 19 Korean hanboks to Colin Powell Elementary School, which were sent by Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education as Global Culture Sharing Program. Ms. Kang Hye-won, a representative of Korean immersion teachers at Colin Powell Elementary School, said she plans to use Hanboks donated at the Lunar New Year event. The rest of the hanboks will be donated to Gaithersburg Elementary School (three) in Maryland and Washington Global Public Charter School (three) in Washingto DC.
