At Dulles Airport, Mr. Sanghwa Park, Director of Korean Education Center in Washington DC, sent off the students from Washington metropolitan area participating in the Summer Program in Korea for US students sponsored by New York Korean Education Center. The program will be held  in Korea from July 2, 2018 to July 17, 2018.  Among the 29 students from eastern part of the USA, four students are participating from Washington metropolitan area. They are Randall Belcher in New Hope Academy, Adam Muhammad in Fairfax Academy, Linsy Sanchez-Morales in Centerville HS and Camille Torrico in Fairfax HS. The participants will visit Insa-dong, Gwanghwamun, Namdaemun, National Museum of Korea, Folk Village and Independence Hall from July 4 to experience Korean traditional culture. They will also visit DMZ and Imjingak to experience efforts for peace on the Korean Peninsula, and Gangnam-gu to experience K-pop related culture. Through visits to schools and industrial facilities, they will also see Korea's educational and economic development.
