On February 16th, 2023, Ambassador Taeyong Jo hosted the 2022 National Education Development Award Ceremony on behalf of the Korean government. Sunmi Kim, former President of the National Association for Korean Schools, received the Civil Merit Medal, and Grace Hwakang Song, Executive Director of the ASIA Families, received Presidential Citation. Ambassador Jo sincerely congratulated them for their contribution to developing Korean-American education over the past few decades.
